Police request assistance with attempt murder investigation
he Toronto Police Service is requesting the public’s assistance with an attempt murder investigation.
It is reported that:
- on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, at 11 p.m., a 21-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were in the area of Vanauley Walk/Augusta Square, when at least five men approached the two in the parking lot,
- one of the suspects shot the 21-year-old man in the chest, and the 17-year-old boy was shot in the arm. Both were taken to hospital and treated for their injuries.
The suspects are described as between 18 and 20, dark skin, wearing various black sweater tops, hats and hoodies, and oversized dark pants worn at the hip level. At least one person was armed with a handgun.
It is further reported that:
- the suspects were seen in a silver Chevrolet Malibu prior to the shooting.
