Police request assistance with theft of vehicle investigation
On Wednesday, November 25, 2009, shortly after 7 a.m., police responded to a number of calls for a theft of vehicle investigation within north central Toronto and within the Great Toronto Area.
It is reported that:
- a number of high-end luxury SUVs were stolen from the driveways of several homes.
Tips for vehicle owners:
1. Always lock your vehicle, even while in your driveway.
2. Park the vehicle in a locked garage whenever possible.
3. Never leave your vehicle running while unattended.
4. Never leave your keys in the vehicle.
5. Maintain control of your vehicle keys at all times.
6. Be aware of suspicious persons and vehicles in your neighbourhood
and report suspicious activities to police, including licence plate
information and suspect description, immediately.
