Qur'an mentions 'modesty', it does not prescribe a specific medicine for that and leaves it to individual interpretation. Women who choose to don the Burkha should do it in the name of their blind love for Ibn Wahhab not in the name of Islam. The issue is much deeper - one of 'identity crisis' for South Asian women who are unable to reconcile their 'Indianness' with their Muslim faith. Have pride in your shalwars, dupattas & saris and leave the Burkhas to the wahhabites, don't erase your diverse ethnicities to become drones. Non-Muslims have questions and concerns that they do not voice. Keeping quiet does not solve the problem of prejudice and stereotyping. It's important to have healthy debates to come to an understanding between both parties. There has been a long discussion going on about this on Irshad Manji's fanpage where I have been responding to the questions of various non-Muslims who think that women are being oppressed through Burqa. Others think it is not their business to judge as everyone is free to do what they want. However, on one point that both Non-Muslims and some Muslims agree is that Burqa, or Hijab, is not Islamic but comes from Arab culture. This is not true at all. A close reading of the biblical teachings and Quranic teachings will remove this misunderstanding.
